Fairwater Garden Party

The Friends of the Australian Ballet were delighted that over 550 guests attended the Garden Party at Fairwater, the home of our founding president Lady Fairfax. Held on Sunday 8 November, and despite a few light showers, the event was an experience of a lifetime in this marvellous harbourside location.
With the gardens truly splendid and the jacaranda in full bloom, the garden party atmosphere was evident from the smiling faces of the guests.
Whilst enjoying afternoon tea, coffee and wines in the Town Square, guests were able to talk to Artisans and listen to Medieval Minstrels playing and singing. Throughout the afternoon visits were made to the Sunken Garden and Leo the Jester together with Street Vendors mingled. Rose Garden Tours and Storytelling completed this wonderous afternoon of beauty and friendship.
The Friends wish to thank Lady Fairfax AC, OBE, the staff of Fairwater, The Australian Ballet, The Storytellers Guild of Australia, Giancarlo coffee, Bloch, The McDonald College, Anthony Anastas, students of Australian Centre for Event Management, UTS, Linda Klarfeld, CaterInc and most of all Jill Keyte from High As a Keyte Event Management who was responsible for the concept and event management. Congratulations Jill.
